**The two contractors installing the water system are P.C.I., and Tradewest.
**Stats thru September: in 2003 there were 756 water deliveries, in 2004 there were 817 loads, in 2005 there were 821 loads, and in 2006 there have been 964 loads.
**Matt Buhler of the Forest Service attended our annual meeting and summarized the Duck Creek Fuels Reduction Project. The clearing project has begun near Swains; they will burn piles over the winter, a year after the clearing is done. About 1,200 acres have been cleared. **J.J. Smith, Chairman of the Cedar Mountain Advisory Council (CMAC) attended our annual meeting and explained that CMAC is a non-profit organization consisting of eleven people who represent the combined interests of the 23,000 people on Cedar Mountain. CMAC has a website: http://www.cedarmountainadvisorycouncil.com. Irene Briggs is also a member of this board and would appreciate any input or questions that you may have be forwarded to her and she assures you that your concerns will be addressed. Meetings are on the 3rd Saturday of each month, and are announced on the Dixie National Forest website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/dixie/ .
**Jayne Alcorn, John Ewing, Dale Gardner, and Cathy Jones have been elected to serve on the Board for the 2007-2008 term. |
