Hello all,

I am writing this chat just three days after the completion of the Labor Day festivities and I am pleased to report that they were outstanding…We had a wonderful turnout for the Camp Golden Eagle activities and I want to thank all of the great people, both young and old, parents or not, whose generous help and service made this one of the best events that I can remember.  A great big “THANK YOU” goes out to all who made this possible.  I would be remiss if I did not single out Irene Briggs for her tireless pursuit of people to be volunteers (some may say draftees) who found themselves doing many of the necessary but behind the scenes jobs that are taken for granted by all of us. So, although it

may be redundant, thank you Irene.

On Sunday we had our annual meeting and it also went quite well.  Three new Board members were elected and I wish them well.  John Ewing was reelected so welcome back John.  Our three guest speakers were very informative so be sure to check out the meeting minutes for information.

The water project appears to be on schedule for a November 2006 completion which is great.  As many of you know; we did have to drain the pond.  It was re-filling nicely when we had to drain it again.  I hope that we are done with that.

On a more somber note, it appears that recently we are having a noticeable increase in the amount

of Burglaries and Vandalism being carried out in our community.  If you witness any suspicious activity please report it immediately to the Kane County Sheriff’s Dept. at 435-644-2349. To help protect yourself and your neighbors, please take the time to get to know them and talk to them about how you can help each other.  In an isolated area like ours, we are our own best line of defense.

The next and last meeting of 2006 will be October 7th at 10: 00 am Utah time at the barn.  Dress warmly and come out to join us there for coffee and donuts. See you soon.
