What to request use of the Pavilion? Let the Planning Begin...
One of the best things about Swains Creek Pines is our beautiful pavilion, which is a gathering place for birthdays, reunions, picnics, and memory-making.
This year, we’re seeing a big increase in requests to use the pavilion, which is wonderful! To make sure everyone has fair access and that the space stays in great condition, we’re clarifying the request for a reservation process for 2026.
Planning to Use the Pavilion? Here is what you need to know... Who Can Use It? The pavilion and its facilities are available to lot owners and their guests. When Do You Need a Reservation? If you’re planning:
A special event, reunion, birthday, or any celebration
A large group gathering (for yourself or the community)
Please submit a reservation request in advance to guarantee availability. Reservation requests are subject to Board approval,to make sure the requested reservation does not conflict with the SCPLOA master calendar or the type of event sponsored by SCPLOA, and, of course,we want to ensure the date is open, and the event aligns with community guidelines. Why Is There a Deposit? A refundable deposit helps us protect this shared space for everyone, and deposits are returned if the pavilion is left clean, trash-free, and damage-free:
$50 for groups of 50 or fewer
$75 for groups of 50–100
$150 for groups of 100 or more
For groups of 100+, portable restrooms may be required at the lot owner’s expense. This ensures adequate facilities and protects the surrounding area. The number and placement will be coordinated at the time of reservation. All fees are collected when the reservation is confirmed. Our goal is simple: protect the pavilion, keep scheduling fair, and support lot owners in hosting wonderful gatherings. We love seeing the pavilion used. Let’s do it in a way that keeps it beautiful for years to come.
To request use of the Pavilion, email [email protected] for a “Request a Reservation” form or if you have any questions. The Events Committee will be working with the SCPLOA Manager to facilitate requests this season.
**Regarding event requests, please see Swains Creek Pines Lot Owners Association ™ Guidelines, Rules & Regulations, amended January 13, 2024, item 10. This can be found on PayHOA.com under documents.
Fundraising Goal... Looking ahead to 2026, our events will have an exciting shared purpose: raising funds to remodel and improve our outdoor pavilion kitchen. The pavilion has been the heart of countless reunions, cookouts, and community celebrations. Now it’s time to invest back into that space so it can better serve our lot owners for years to come. Every SCPLOA-sponsored event you attend, every raffle ticket purchased at those events, every meal enjoyed, and every volunteer hour given will help move us closer to a refreshed, functional kitchen space we can all be proud of. We can’t wait to gather with you this season, for fun, for friendship, and for a future-focused improvement that benefits everyone. Although we are fundraising specifically for a new outdoor kitchen, you are welcome to donate anything you wish to any one of the many needs and projects in our community. Please feel free to use this VENMO QR Code to donate, and note in the section provided by Venmo where you would like your donation to go! If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
